Man, I’ve gotta tell ya—Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds has got everyone buzzing like crazy. So, Capcom decided to spill all the beans in their June Spotlight livestream. I was watching it, maybe a little too intently, but hey, details matter!
So, they finally dropped the date. Like, finally! We’re getting this update on Monday, June 30 after some maintenance downtime. Yup, mark those calendars—or just wait for your game to tell you, like I usually do.
Alright, let’s dive into this. New monsters are stomping in. Yup, Lagiacrus and Seregios. Excited much? I can barely keep my excitement contained. Lagiacrus is bringing underwater combat to the party. Not kidding. Part of the fight’s underwater, and geez, you won’t have your weapon freely down there. You’ve gotta finish “A World Turned Upside Down” and the side mission “Forest Doshaguma” at Hunter Rank 31, or… you get it, right?
Oh, and Seregios? Also a Rank 31 requirement. These monsters bring some sick new armor for Hunters and even Palico. Plus, they’ve got these Tempered versions flaunting around at HR 41. Ready for a challenge yet?
Now, there’s this Arch-tempered Uth Duna thing—totally a mouthful and an endurance test. Not until July 30, though. Event Quest material, HR 50 and above. This stuff’s gonna get wild.
Crafting—a whole new ball game with layered weapons. Ever wanted your weapon to look cooler without messing up the stats? Or is that just me? You’ve gotta finalize a weapon tree to use it as your new look, though. Oh, and Artian Weapons, with some conditions… It’s all a bit much but in a good way?
So, TU2 isn’t just about big monsters and shiny stuff. New features like switching your main handler (Alma to Erik and vice-versa, really) and an extra support hunter with a Sword & Shield are part of the fun.
We’re also getting the next Wilds seasonal extravaganza—Festival of Accord: Flamefete—from July 23 to August 6. It’s got everything from new armor to funky meals at the cantina. Gotta love those event vibes.
And guess what? Title Update 3’s sneaking in this September with another monster, no surprise there. But hey, more fun!
Now, amidst all this chaos, Wilds, Capcom’s big-time launch, isn’t doing too hot. It’s kinda crazy. It’s losing players on Steam faster than I can lose my keys, and reviews aren’t pretty either—“Overwhelmingly Negative” they say.
Whether Title Update 2 fixes anything or not… well, it’ll be something to watch, for sure. Fingers crossed, right?
