So, here we are with Rollerdrome, cooked up by the folks over at Roll7. It’s, like, dirt cheap right now. $7.49 kind of cheap, which—let’s face it—is a steal from the usual $29.99. But hey, you gotta move quick on this because the deal vanishes into thin air by August 14 at, what, like 2:59 a.m. ET? Why the weird time, though? No clue.
Fast forward to 2030, and get this—corporations are running the show. Yeah, shocker, right? And so, in this future, everyone’s hooked on this wild sport called Rollerdrome, all brutal and flashy. You think you can rise to the top and figure out what this Matterhorn corporation’s really plotting?
Anyway, when Rollerdrome hit the shelves—virtual ones, I mean—it got a pretty warm reception for both PS4 and PS5. Metacritic had it sitting comfortably around a 79 from 49 critic voices. Our buddies over at ComingSoon.net slapped a solid 7.5 out of 10 on it. Not too shabby.
“Rollerdrome doesn’t hit every trick.” That’s what they said, which, honestly, who does? But when you’re launching off ramps, blasting baddies in slow-mo? It’s this gloriously smooth chaos that just clicks once your fingers get the hang of it. You hit this zen zone, you know?
