Last Epoch, huh? So, they’ve decided to jazz things up with minions this time. Get ready for the Assassinate mode (sounds fancy, right?) in the next season. It’s not just this, though. Apparently, there’s a whole buffet of new bits rolling out soon. I stumbled across this nugget of info while aimlessly browsing their forum, trying to find something worth procrastinating over.
Ah, Last Epoch… Released back in 2024, if I’m not mistaken, this action-packed RPG throws together time travel, dungeon adventures, and all the character customization you’d ever want—plus loads of replay options. Five classes, if that’s your thing. And there’s this nifty season system, which is currently plodding through its second round, Tombs of the Erased. That kicked off in April and brought some spicy new areas and bosses to take down. Anyway, all these changes are headed our way soon.
So, big reveal: minions can now go all “Assassinate” in Season 3. I mean, really take down those rare baddies and bosses from afar. Kind of cool for when you’re feeling a bit lazy. Or you can flip the switch to Protect mode, just to keep them in your cozy, safe zone. Icon next to their mugshot tells you what’s up: swords for Assassinate, shield for Protect. If only life had icons this clear, right? Oh, and shoutout to Eleventh Hour Games for tweaking how these little guys pick their targets.
Alongside the fancy AI upgrades, Season 3 is adding new features for the Beastmaster class. The Scorpion, Raptor, and Bear get some love with new nodes. Also, and I can’t be the only person who’s been eyeing this… players finally get to equip cosmetics in Offline Mode. Took them long enough, yeah? You just need one online stint to lock it in.
Oh, before I forget—Season 3 drops on August 21. Merchants’ Guild is getting its own revamp too, with shopping filters and tokens so you can buy stuff without standing on ceremony. Fancy that. All these little tweaks are supposed to make the game even snazzier.
Can’t wait to see how all these changes shake things up!
