Okay, so get this — Survios, the folks behind Alien: Rogue Incursion, are switching things up. Apparently, they’re rolling out a flatscreen version of this thing for your PC and PS5, called the ‘Evolved Edition’. Not gonna lie, sounds kinda fancy.
Anyway, the game hit the scene on PSVR 2 and PC VR not too long ago, like last year or something, and then they tossed it onto Quest 3 in early 2025. People had all sorts of feelings about it initially. You know how gamers are — some gripes about Xenomorphs being way too predictable. But hey, Survios did some tweaking. Think it’s better now?
Fast forward to now — well, soonish — September 30th, 2025, to be exact. They’re dropping this reimagined thing onto Steam and the PlayStation Store. It’s kinda nice when developers actually listen, right?
The story tracks Zula Hendricks, who used to be in the Colonial Marines, poking her nose where it probably doesn’t belong. Her sidekick? A synth named Davis 01. Together, they’re sneaking into this sketchy research facility on planet Purdan, dodging Xenomorphs left and right. Stealth is key, but let’s be real, blowing things up is likely part of the gig too.
Oh, and it’s doing this split thing — like only the first part is out now. They teased last year that there’s gonna be a follow-up, Part Two. Hopefully, it’s worth the wait with bigger baddies and harder hurdles or something.
No word on when Part Two is hitting the shelves, or if they’ll keep dangling VR and non-VR versions staggered like this. Could be a combo deal eventually? Who knows.
And this isn’t their first rodeo with flippin’ VR games to flatscreen, by the way. Back in 2021, Survios did something similar with that boxing game, Creed: Rise to Glory. Turned it into Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions. Weird name, I know.
So yeah, maybe keep an eye on this one. Or not. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
