So, there’s this thing launching soon, Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist or something like that. Kickstarter campaign starts next week, and yeah, they’re trying to bring back the fun of, uh, Orbus VR — which, by the way, is no longer with us. Apparently, there’s some excitement there? Who knows.
Anyway, mark June 24th on your calendar if you’re into these VR worlds. The game’s up on Quest 3 and SteamVR next year. Pretty wild, right? Not long ago, a bunch of ex-Orbus folks founded Resolute Games, back in Feb 2024. Took them no time to start running with this VRMMO thing.
What’s this all about, you ask? Well, they say it’s something magical. Or, hang on, maybe that was my imagination running wild. You follow this legendary hero, Eldranis, or maybe you go rogue and do your own thing. There are talks of darkness and ancient forces — yeah, real dramatic stuff. Think taverns, mini-games, and all that jazz. It’s like everyone finds a little corner to fit into. Sounds cozy, doesn’t it?
Oh, and let’s not forget — warriors, mages, monks, alchemists. Take your pick. They’ve got dungeons, raids, and you might even end up fishing or mining. PvP zones too, for when you want to knock a friend — or frenemy — over the head. But, here’s the catch, some features might miss the launch day bus. Classic move.
No buzz about funding tiers or stretch goals yet. Lynn M. Souza, who’s steering this ship, says they’re shooting for something like Zenith’s funding goal. Was it $25,000? I think so. Numbers confuse me sometimes.
Speaking of numbers, VR MMORPGs aren’t all sunshine and rainbows. Orbus VR closed shop earlier — honestly, that sucked. Zenith’s makers, Ramen VR, kinda backed off because money was a hassle. Unless you mention Ilysia VR, somehow still hanging in there. Kicked off thanks to Kickstarter in 2020. Props to them.
Souza mentioned on Discord, remember Orbus? Decent stuff but designed for Quest 1. It’s been ages since real updates. Meanwhile, Zenith and Ilysia popped up, offering something fresh. I backed Ilysia, loved its vibe, and Souza rates it too.
They’re talking December 2026 for Eldramoor to go all public. Testing phases scattered throughout 2025 and onto summer 2026. If you’re curious, check out their Kickstarter on June 24th. And, uh, the game’s already on Steam, so wishlist away if you’re feeling the hype.
