Ok, hold up. So today’s the big day, right? Honkai: Star Rail just dropped their version 3.4 livestream. Everyone’s been buzzing about it, mainly ’cause of those fresh new characters. Yep, they finally showed ’em off during the stream. And let’s just say, people are hyped.
But the real headline? Oh, it’s that wild crossover with Fate/stay night. I mean, who’d have thought? That collab was teased way back last August when Fate/stay night got its shiny English makeover. Seems like it’s been in the works forever. But guess what? The wait’s nearly over. Finally!
Now, there’s a bit where they showed the new characters. We got Saber popping in as a 5-Star Wind/Destruction deal. And Archer? Also a 5-Star, but with Quantum/Hunt vibes. What’s cool is Archer’s free to grab if you log in during the event. And hey, these two aren’t going anywhere soon! They’ll be around from Version 3.4 all the way to Version 3.6. That’s, like, forever in game time.
Oh! Almost forgot Phainon. The dude’s been hanging around since Version 3.0, remember? Finally, players can snag him as a playable guy. Way overdue, honestly. He’s coming in with a Physical/Destruction kit. And since those Fate characters are out-of-cycle, they all drop in Phase 1. Neat, right?
And guess what else is happening? Six whole rerun banners. Seriously, six! Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle bounce back in Phase 1. Then Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade roll in for Phase 2. Kinda crazy how jam-packed this is already. Makes ya wonder if anyone can even keep up.
Oh, oh, and for the Stellaron Hunters fans out there, get this. V3.4’s rolling out some love for Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade! New glitzy tricks and modifications all around. Plus, a fancy new Firefly outfit. And hey, whatever’s cooking with Jingliu might mean she’s up for joining some morally-questionable team antics. Or not. Who knows?
Mark your calendars, ’cause V3.4 goes live on July 2nd. Then, the banner switcheroo happens on July 23rd. If you missed the livestream, no worries, there’s a VOD somewhere floating around.
Oh! And back in May, we got the 3.3 update, where Hyacine made an entrance and The Herta returned. New faces popped in last week with Cipher and some old pals, stirring things up. But plot twist — there was some drama with the English voices for the Trailblazers, Stelle and Caelus. They were part of some actor solidarity thing with SAG-AFTRA. Looks like a tentative agreement came through, so maybe more peace now? But some main folks are still in the air, like Dan Heng and Himeko. Messy stuff, really.
So yeah, let’s see where all this takes us!
