Alright, here we go—where to even start? So, there’s this whole new thing with PGA Tour 2K25, Season 2. Kicks off May 14, and it’s like, buckle up, because you’re gonna need to hit the golf swings with some next-level skill. Or so they claim. There’s this totally fresh mode called Challenges. Think quick, one-shot chances to blow your own mind or make your golf ball do circus tricks. Not sure if that’s how they describe it, but it works.
Oh, and if you missed Season 1? No worries, you won’t miss out on the rewards. Somehow you can keep grinding at it—who knows if that’s genius or a marketing trap.
This new Challenge mode is kinda like a pick-your-own-adventure, if you remember those books. No? Just me? Anyway, you decide where to go, what to do, and hopefully not mess up the shot they give you. Imagine trying to hit through floating rings. Yeah, that’s a thing. Use just one club type—because why not make it harder, right?
Max Homa’s heroic shots are in there somewhere too. I mean, relive his eagle or try those bizarre uphill putts that make you question your choices. Every Challenge keeps you guessing, mixing it up with Trials and Spotlight Challenges. Variety’s great—or infuriating—depending on your mood.
The Charles Schwab Challenge brings a mini 3-hole course just to see who can conquer it most creatively. Think of this as the “demo reel” of your golfing capabilities. Starts with a long Par 4—thrilling stuff over a ravine. Miss that fairway, and, well, hope for a miracle.
Moving on, they’ve thrown in the legendary Old Course at St Andrews. Bet some folks out there are doing a happy dance over this one. More gear, more upgrades, and, oh, “The Long Flop” shot joins the party. Extra distance, more spin—try not to make a fool of yourself.
With Xbox Series X|S, it’s ready to tee off on May 14. Don’t ask me why I’m way too excited about digital golf gear. Go play and find out if it’s as solid as they say.
