Avatar’s Cabbage Merchant Joins Magic: The Gathering Officially

Team Avatar getting mixed up with Magic: The Gathering is kinda wild, right? And yep, that means our buddy from Avatar: The Last Airbender — the Cabbage Merchant — is in the game now. Seriously, the guy’s pretty much known for his stuff getting wrecked by Aang and Appa. Classic move: he’s all, “My cabbages!!!” every single time. Kinda feel for him, honestly.

So, during this Magic livestream thingy — happened on Tuesday, I think — they revealed his card. It’s part of this Jumpstart thing, which I guess is for folks just starting out with the game. But wait, it’s got some cool tricks you might wanna use even if you’re, like, super hardcore about Magic. Though, heads-up, they work in Commander format, not the super strict Standard one. Rules, am I right?

Now, onto the visual side of things — there’s this pic of some of the new cards floating around. Aang, Katara, and yep, Cabbage Guy himself. Looking pretty swanky, if you ask me. It’s from Wizards of the Coast. No idea why that name always makes me think of some kind of magical band.

During the stream-y chat, they hinted at more cards like, “We’ll see him in other art. Spoiler: not always cheerful.” Wonder what grumpy Cabbage Merchant looks like. Who knows?
