Crazy stuff, right? GALAX’s RTX 5090 D just smashed a new overclocking record. I mean, how often do you hear about a graphics card hitting 3650 MHz? Not every day, I’ll tell you that.
So, there’s this team called OGS. They’re like the ultimate record-breakers in the GPU world. This time, they’ve gone and done it again with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 D from GALAX — like, why am I not surprised? It’s almost like they wake up each morning and go, “What record can we shatter today?”
Anyway — no wait — focus. They used some hardcore gear, like this GALAX GeForce RTX 5090 D XOC GPU, paired with an Intel Core i9-14900KF (fancy, right?) and an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 APEX Encore motherboard. Stavros from Team OGS (cool name, huh?) shared that they were on an XOC BIOS that cranked out a whopping 2000W of power. Can you imagine that? The GPU has these crazy two 12V-2×6 connectors — like plug ‘em in and you’re halfway to the moon with 600W each. Seriously, math isn’t my thing, but that’s some headroom they got there.
Okay, so get this — they pushed the card past 3.6 GHz in one of the benchmarks! Like, GPUPI recorded a 3650 MHz clock speed and wrapped up in 39.434 seconds (32B Score). Lightning speed or what? Even the memory got a workout, climbing all the way to 36 Gbps. Compare that to the usual 28 Gbps, and yeah, that’s a solid 28.5% jump. From what I gather, we’re looking at 1.792 TB/s bandwidth stock versus a whopping 2.304 TB/s when juiced up. Numbers don’t lie, I guess.
But honestly, what’s kinda thrilling? Seeing OGS and others like them pushing GPUs beyond limits. And the crazy part is the 5090 D isn’t done yet. Once these BIOS and PCBs go mainstream with the regular RTX 5090s, who knows? Can’t wait, ‘cause this is only the beginning.
