Okay, so… picture this: Nintendo’s caught up in this legal whirlwind down in Brazil. Yup, this consumer group, Procon-SP, has basically wagged a finger at them over some "abusive" stuff buried in the end-user agreement. Honestly, I wouldn’t have caught it unless, well, someone pointed it out, like Dexerto did.
Anyway, here’s the gist: these agreements we all rush to click ‘accept’ on before diving into our consoles? Turns out, if you break some rules — you know, maybe download a game you shouldn’t — Nintendo might just poof your Switch account. Or make it a fancy paperweight. It’s nuts! This came hot on the heels of the Switch 2 launch, by the way — which was a massive hit. Not gonna lie, I kinda want one now.
And, oh man, this Procon-SP group’s all riled up about subscriptions getting axed left and right without too much of a reason. But considering Nintendo’s kinda ghosting them without a solid base in Brazil, they’ve had to reach out to the U.S. headquarters. Drama, huh? They got a law firm there now to sort it out.
What really pops my bubble is the whole Mig Flash card thing. People say it’s getting them booted from the system, though they swear they’re just backing up their own games. Legal mumbo-jumbo if you ask me, but it’s a real gray zone. And I’m here thinking, “Why do things have to be so complicated?”
Nintendo says, "Chill, we’ll have an answer in 20 days." Meanwhile, the Switch 2’s practically flying off the shelves — or, well, not even reaching them! The demand was so wild that their president had to go, “Sorry, peeps, we’re fresh out.”
So, yeah, follow Tom’s Hardware or whatever. They’ll keep you in the loop. If you need me, I’ll be figuring out how to actually get my hands on a Switch 2.
