Okay, here’s my take on it:

So, get this—Google might be about to bust out some new smart glasses at the Google I/O event next week. Maybe they’re itching to go head-to-head with those Ray-Ban Meta Glasses. No idea why, but that’s what’s buzzing.
Sameer Samat, like, the big Android Ecosystem dude, kind of teased it in a promo for Google I/O. He popped on some snazzy glasses, and had this casual “come peep some cool Android stuff” vibe. But seriously, those glasses? Total Ray-Ban vibe, right down to the camera nugget hanging out on the left side. I had to pause and zoom in—felt like I was some kind of budget detective.
There’s this snapshot they shared—kind of blurry, but you get the idea. There’s an LED bit over the camera. Like, guess what? Maybe it lights up when you’re snapping pics or whatever. Probably so you’re not creeping, like “Oh, hey, you’re on candid camera!”
And those arms? Extra chunky. I mean, there’s probably some crazy tech packed in there—processors, batteries. Samat’s little hint made me wonder, “Android XR, is that you?” And get this, right under the left arm, there’s this tiny slit thingy near the ear. Maybe it’s for tunes? Or maybe it’s a button? You know, it could be literally anything.
Meanwhile, in the land of Apples, they’re also scheming up some glasses, according to Bloomberg or whomever. Something about a custom chip. Because, of course. Makes you wonder if there’s, like, a secret glasses war going on.
Anyway, this Google I/O thing kicks off May 20th. Expect keynotes, developer stuff, and all that jazz. They’ll chat about Android XR, I bet my cat on it. And you can bet I’ll be glued to the livestream. Catch it on YouTube on the 20th at 10 AM PT. Set a reminder or risk missing out.
Oh, and if you’re curious, check out the snapshot below.

Hope that captures the messy human vibe!
