Okay, get this. So, Warframe’s about to hit us with something new, and it’s, well, kinda wild. We’re talking space travel to this place called Tau. Yeah, Tau. Who knew? The gurus at Digital Extremes are all hush-hush about what’s in the pipeline, but they did drop some juicy bits at their big TennoCon shindig. No clue why reveals seem more mysterious every year. Anyway, that’s a different spiel.
So, apparently, this update thingy — The Old Peace — is the latest end-of-year gift for us. It’s set somewhere in Warframe’s tangled-up storyline. Or maybe not? Hard to tell, they’re playing coy. I mean, Tau’s like the Holy Grail of Warframe stuff. Oh, and if you’re lost, join the club. I’m right there with ya. It’s like, all part of some big failed galaxy-hop adventure that nobody’s quite spelling out. Why? Beats me.
The trailer — if you can even call it that — shows our Operator pal tripping down memory lane with old buddies Loid and Lotus. They’re doing some experiment thingamajig to hug those Tau memories. Childhood friend drama ensues with this Sentient dude, Adis. Can’t have sci-fi without a pinch of chaos, right? A rebellion on a moon? Sure, why not? Makes as much sense as anything else.
If you’re scratching your head, feeling like Warframe just dumped a cosmic Rubik’s Cube on your lap — you’re not alone. It might just be the perfect excuse to dive into the game. Especially since there’s another narrative chapter set to drop in, wait for it… late 2025. Like, seriously, who plans this far ahead?
Oh, also, there’s this new fall update. Enter “The Teacher,” cooked up with Sumo Digital. Because clearly, modding in Warframe is this monstrous enigma wrapped in a riddle. Hopefully, this new quest sorts that mess out a bit. Or, you know, maybe it won’t.
And hang on, there’s more. They’re unleashing a fresh Warframe called Uriel. Plus, there’s a whole side quest involving something dramatic like “the Devil’s Triad.” It features Uriel and two new Protoframes, Harrow and Wisp. Why call it that? Don’t ask me.
For the real deets, guess we might have to wait until Digital Extremes does their October thing. Fingers crossed for clarity… or just more beautifully confusing hints. Who knows what they’ll cook up next?
