Okay, so here’s the thing about today — it’s like Christmas for folks who’ve been obsessing over Honkai: Star Rail and its first big crossover shindig. Yeah, we’re talking about Fate/stay night muscling its way into the game. Can you believe it? A free-to-play RPG with fireworks. Well, not literal fireworks… you know what I mean.
Okay, so we’re just a week past patch 3.4. The usual stuff, plus some surprise gifts from the visual novel gods. Honestly, I wasn’t totally ready for this.
I remember watching a developer stream back in June. Weirdly riveting stuff. Talked a lot about this Fate/stay night thing — mainly those two guest stars everyone’s buzzing about. They won’t disappear anytime soon, you know. Rumors say they’ll chill until at least November or so, but who even knows for real?
Oh, and Saber — big deal, right? Pops in as a 5-Star Wind/Destruction hero. Sounds fancy. Then there’s Archer, another 5-Star, but Quantum/Hunt this time. Snagging Archer is simple — just log in during the event. Saber’s a bit of a diva and needs a pull. You even get Archer up to level 60 without doing much. Crazy!

Moving on, so they’ve got these special banners. Four of them, actually. Saber, Archer, their light cones, the whole shebang. But no boosted rates for 4-stars? Odd choice. You do get Saber’s light cone after, like, 200 tries. Patience, I guess?
And what’s up with the voice overs? None of the Fate characters got English ones. Might be intentional, might not. MiHoYo’s been weird about US voice actors lately, especially with that strike thing going on.
Besides, there’s this new Trailblaze Continuance titled something like Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail. Plus, a 30-day limited-time event where you bash stuff for prizes. That’s ending August 11. After that — poof! No worries though, it’ll all pile into the Conventional Memoir for any slackers. But the rewards? Gotta be quick!

Earlier this month, Phainon made the leap from NPC to a hero — a 5-Star Physical/Destruction type. Finally! I’ve been waiting on that.
Phase 1 of reruns launched with 3.4 on July 2. Tribbie and a few others made their comeback. Phase 2 starts July 23 with folks like Firefly getting a new look, Jingliu, and Blade returning from the abyss.
And oh my gosh, 3.4 didn’t just bring those changes. They upgraded Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade with new mechanics. Jingliu’s rerun was timed perfectly since she got the upgrade sparkle too.
Wow, did I lose track again? Whatever. That’s the scoop.
