Nintendo just dropped a fresh update for Super Mario Party Jamboree. So, version 2.1.0 is here. Is anyone else feeling that twinge of excitement? Nah, maybe it’s just me. Anyway, it’s mostly to gear up for the new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition that’s coming. And yeah, there are bug fixes. Lots of them.
So here’s the thing — if you’re playing on Nintendo Switch 2, guess what? You’ve got some changes to look out for. Some are tiny, like a fly buzzing in your ear, others not so much. Imagine fixing bugs that let you actually play the game. Like, who knew? There was this one where the game just froze if you stayed on the Broozer Bash rules screen for too long. Why would you stare at rules that long anyway? But hey, fixed that.
And oh, skipping parts of the game video at just the wrong moment? Yeah, that was causing issues too. Seriously, someone must love skipping cause that was a whole bug. Cameras were another mess. Plug them in, out, whenever, and oh – suddenly your screen’s gone bonkers with the camera (face) position. They fixed that too, they say. CPU movements in some mouse minigames have been tweaked. What does that even mean? Not a clue. But, they did it.
But wait for it – they haven’t forgotten about the good ol’ regular Nintendo Switch players. Bugs galore, I tell ya. Like, playing Rhythm Kitchen in Free Play and then selecting “Play Again”? Would sometimes freeze. I bet someone threw a controller over that. Also, after a CPU started doing its thing in Mario’s Rainbow Castle, you weren’t able to move on. Fixed? Apparently.
Oh, and stamps in Mario Party were acting up. Who would’ve thought stamps could cause chaos? Playing online had its hiccups too, of course. Anyway — or was it, where was I? — they tackled several other mysterious “issues” to make your gaming experience, you know, less rage-inducing.
That’s it. Update’s live. Random musings over. Have fun, or whatever.
