Okay, so here we are on the brink of something kinda big, right? Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. It’s the latest Soulslike, and actually, it’s got this whole Ming Dynasty vibe going on. Kinda neat, I think. Plus, it’s coming out of China, from this outfit called Leenzee. Sounds exotic or something, doesn’t it?
Anyway, word on the street is that people are vibing with this game. Every time it shows up, there’s some solid buzz (or whatever you call it). But now, as the release is creeping up real close, they’ve dropped some last-minute deets that folks might wanna check out.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is gonna hit shelves on July 24. Mark the calendar, or don’t — I mean, free will and all. It’s coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Oh, and if you’re into Game Pass, it’s a day-one thing on there too. Cool, right? But with all these fancy graphics, what kinda rig do you need? Up ’til now, everyone’s been scratching their heads over that.
Okay, so the game looks snazzy — maybe not as nuts as Black Myth: Wukong, which is another mind-bender of a Chinese RPG — but sleek enough. Today’s the day they’ve finally told us what sort of tech you’ll need under the hood. And surprise (not really), the game’s chill with average PCs too. Big relief!
Leenzee threw out two sets of specs: minimum and recommended. But, alas, they’ve left us hangin’ without framerate or resolution goals. I mean, that might bug some folks. Everything was tested with some techy upscaling stuff (DLSS/FSR); no idea what that does, but just tossin’ it out there.
Minimum game specs go something like this:
– OS: Windows 10, 64-bit. So, probably not your grandad’s computer.
– CPU: Something like Intel Core i5-8400/AMD Ryzen 5 1600.
– RAM: 16GB RAM (maybe get dual channel? What’s even that?).
– GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD’s Radeon RX 580 8GB.
– And yeah, DirectX 12, with 60GB storage. An SSD would be killer, but who am I to tell you how to live?
Recommended specs are a bit beefier, with no big surprises:
– OS: Windows 10/11, 64-bit.
– CPU: Intel Core i7-9700/AMD Ryzen 5 5500. Math blew my mind back in school, this just feels like more of that.
– RAM and GPU — same deal, but more pow-ah.
– Oh, SSD is the boss here. Add those magic letters: DLSS/FSR.
What else? Timezones! I mean, not sure why you’d wanna know when people in Berlin will start playing, but sure. Here’s the scoop:
– LA: July 23, 7pm.
– Chicago and Bogota: July 23, 9pm.
– NYC: July 23, 10pm.
– Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo: July 23, 11pm.
– London gets it July 24 at 3am, so forget about beauty sleep.
– Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome — join the fun July 24, 4am.
– Dubai, Bangkok, Chengdu, and Beijing? You guys kick off between 6am and 10am. Good morning, gamers!
– Lastly, Seoul and Tokyo at 11am, perfect excuse to skip breakfast.
– Down in Sydney? Midday, July 24, they hit “play.”
Honestly, maybe I should’ve taken that trip to Sydney. Always did wanna ride in a kangaroo pouch. Or was I on about game launch? Who knows. But hey, ain’t life just a marvelous mess?
