Last week, the newly-released RuneScape: Dragonwilds made quite an impression as it became the second highest-earning game on Steam. Fans welcomed its debut on April 15th, and since then, it has managed to attract an impressive peak of 52,641 players playing simultaneously, as noted by SteamDB. This is a significant achievement for Jagex, marking a fresh addition to their collection and proving to be a success so far.
Topping the chart, without a surprise, was Counter-Strike 2, maintaining its position as the lead grossing game for the week. Meanwhile, the game Schedule 1 slid to the third spot due to the strong start by RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Valve’s Steam Deck secured the fourth position once again.
Making a notable return is the action RPG Last Epoch, climbing its way to the fifth position—an impressive leap of 76 spots from the previous week. This surge is attributed to the launch of its second season of content. Following closely, the cooperative horror game REPO remains steady at number six.
Marvel Rivals experienced a slight dip, dropping four ratings to settle at seventh place. Conversely, Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian moved up by one spot, benefiting from an ongoing discount that seemed to attract more players on Steam.
On its debut, Tempest Rising, a game inspired by Command and Conquer, managed to enter the top ten at number ten, despite some early technical hiccups.
Here’s the list of Steam’s Top Ten games for the week ending April 22nd:
1. Counter-Strike 2, Valve
2. RuneScape: Dragonwilds, Jagex
3. Schedule 1, TVGS
4. Steam Deck, Valve
