Hey, so Koei Tecmo dropped this 15-minute video of their game "Wild Hearts S" for the Nintendo Switch 2. And, like, I have no clue why, but I watched the whole thing. Probably because I was procrastinating. Anyway.
So this game’s from Omega Force, and you’re sorta thrown back into this feudal Japan-inspired world. It’s all about hunting these crazy beasts that look like nature on steroids. Seriously, I couldn’t decide if they were gorgeous or just plain terrifying. Maybe a bit of both?
You’ve got this whole solo adventure thing going on, or you can team up with up to three buddies. Seamless co-op, they say. I wonder if it really is. You’ll be crafting action left and right — make stuff to hunt better or whatever. Sounds practical, I guess.
Alright, let’s dive into the gameplay features because that’s what everyone seems to care about, right?
Monstrous Nature Beasts: Alright, picture this. Beasts channeling Mother Nature’s most extreme vibes. Some are beautiful nightmares; others feel like a natural disaster wearing a monster suit. You might want some pals to back you up because they’re not messing around.
Crafting Madness with Karakuri: You’ll be building all sorts of stuff with these beast-piercing tools and tricky traps. Ever want to fly or heal magically while hunting? Apparently, these Karakuri things got you covered. Create your dream jungle gym. I mean, hunting grounds. Whatever works.
Fight Your Own Fight: Collected stuff morphs into weapons and armor. Think upcycling but with a battle twist. So there’s that. Tons of equipment options to take down your prey.
So mark your calendars, folks, July 25, 2025 — that’s when "Wild Hearts S" hits the shelves and the Nintendo eShop digitally. Hopefully, by then, I’ll manage to finish the games I already own.
