Nintendo’s stirring up some waves—again. Or maybe just a splash? Ha, whatever. They’re flinging out a free update for Splatoon 3 on, you guessed it, the trusty old Nintendo Switch. Oh, and the new Nintendo Switch 2. When? Thursday, June 12. Mark it or forget it; live your life, right?
So, what’s new in this fancy update, version… wait, right, 10.0.0. Yeah, sounds like a big deal, doesn’t it? Anyway, they’re tossing in the Splatlands collection. Basically, if you’re into weapons, you’re in for a treat. It’s got gizmos from Barazushi and Emberz. You know these brands? If not, pretend you do. There’s like 30 new weapon kits—like I said, a weapon bonanza. They’ve polished up some sub and special weapons, too. Maybe for fun, maybe for chaos.
Remember Urchin Underpass? I mean, some of you might. It’s back for the stage rotation jazz. A little nostalgia for fans of the first Splatoon on Wii U. Those were simpler times… or were they?
Oh, and don’t let me forget—raising all weapon Freshness caps. What’s that even mean? But hey, new badges to grab. And check this out, a thing called Series Weapon Power for Anarchy Battle aficionados. Tracks how you’re doing with each weapon. Lose a lot? Win a lot? Whatever—it pairs you up with players on your level now. Like friendly rivalries, or not-so-friendly ones. Depends on your mood, right?
For the lucky ducks with a Nintendo Switch 2, there’s bonus eye candy. More deets? More sleek? More wow? Something like that. Prowl around Splatsville or the Grand Festival Grounds and see for yourself. Oh, and in case you were wondering (or not), gameplay jives across both Switch versions, so no one gets left in the ink.
Splatoon 3’s up for grabs everywhere—wherever you like to grab things. Retail? eShop? Whatever floats your boat.
Where was I… Anyway, go ink stuff. Or don’t. Live and let splat.
