This morning, or whenever you’re reading this—launch day for the Nintendo Switch 2. Boom! If it’s not already snug in your hands, yikes, hope you got that pre-order in months ago.
Didn’t? Sorta feels like missing out on concert tickets because you thought, “Oh, I’ll get ’em tomorrow.” Well, the gaming world moves fast. This console, man, it’s hotter than a sidewalk in July. Blink, and it’s vanished.
So, Switch 2, right? A bigger beast compared to its older sibling. Bigger Joy-Cons, and that dock—wow. And the kickstand! Redesigned. (Honestly, I didn’t think much about the kickstand before, but here we are.)
Let’s get geeky: The screen’s 7.9 inches. Thick at 13.9 mm. Clear? It’s like putting on glasses for the first time, going from 720p to 1080p. With the dock? Whoa, 4K is just within reach. Undocked, the screen can fly up to 120 frames per second. HDR, too, if the game’s up for it. Total eye candy.
Deals are floating like confetti, by the way. Solo console purchases or bundles, like Mario Kart. Toss a coin. Or maybe just check in every so often for more price scoops and stock updates. I’m rambling.
So, where to snag one in the US? Walmart’s a go-to. Or GameStop, Newegg, Best Buy, Target… you get the idea. I don’t know why I listed them all. Felt right.
Anyway—happy hunting, gamers!
