Oh, man, where to even start with this? So, there’s this game — COLD VR or something — and it’s like, getting a bunch of updates. Not just any updates, though. They’re like, flipping everything backwards. You know Superhot, right? Yeah, it’s like that but… different. Time goes haywire in this one. Move fast and everything crawls, kinda trippy if you ask me. Forces you to be quick or you’ll just, well, you know, get mobbed.
Anyway, these folks at ALLWARE, with their pals at Perp Games — who names these, seriously? — are ready to drop a bombshell or two. First up — June 2nd. Mark it, if you care. They’ll add a bunch of levels to get lost in. Quest and PC VR are your go-tos here. Five fresh playgrounds for the chaos-inclined. Sounds fun, but I’m easily entertained, so…
Totally refreshing the campaign, they say, with smarter bad guys. Which is neat because, you know, I always wondered what it would be like if they thought a bit more. And don’t even get me started on those Backroom levels – now optional. Thank. You.
Side note: menus. They’re fixing those too. I mean, who doesn’t want to jump in faster? It’s like waiting in line for ice cream — no one wants that.
Then there’s the shiny stuff: catch weapons mid-air (seriously, I want to be that cool), slicker graphics, and if you’re the type who has room-scale-whatever in your living room – congrats, you’re all set. And if you’ve got one of those fancy bHaptics vests, lucky you. I bet they vibrate or something, right? All the vibes.
PSVR 2 fans, I see you, or at least, ALLWARE does. It’s happening, just hang tight. It’s like waiting for a bus that never shows up… but maybe it will this time.
Oh, and if you’re the kind who just can’t wait – Cold VR is hanging out for $20 on the Horizon Store for Quest 2 and Steam for PC VR. Twenty bucks. Not bad, right?
Anyway, I think I covered everything. Or did I? Maybe not, who knows.
