Alright, folks, so, Maximum Entertainment is pulling out all the stops with this new gaming thing they’ve got coming up for the Nintendo Switch. It’s a whole smorgasbord of sports, all packed into one game. They’re calling it “40 Sports Games In 1.” It’s like they crammed a whole gym’s worth of activities into your console. Not sure how they did it. Maybe magic? Or just really good coding. Beats me.
Anyway, this nifty creation is from Breakfirst Games. Kind of sounds like breakfast, right? But way more fun, and possibly fewer carbs. They’re bragging—uh, I mean, they say it’s the “largest sports game collection available anywhere.” That’s a lot of sports, if you ask me.
So, what’s the deal? It’s essentially an upgrade from their previous hit, 34 Sports Games In 1. This new version tosses in six shiny new sports, like Tug of War and Taekwondo. Snowball Fight, too, which is only a sport if you ask kids, but whatever, it’s cool.
Playing alone or bringing the crew to the party—either way, the game keeps track of your progress. You get to unlock stuff and dress up your characters in funky costumes. I guess that’s for when you really wanna stand out during a game of virtual volleyball or whatever. I’d probably just wear something silly.
Maximum Entertainment gave us a rundown of the game’s special features. It’s quite the list. Seriously, with 40 sports, there’s something for everyone, from your aunt who swears she was a bowling champ in another life to kids who think golf is just mini-golf without the dragons.
Forget the usual suspects like football and baseball. Dive into the more bizarre sports like…paddling? Not sure what that is exactly, but it sounds intriguing. Maybe for a rainy day.
As you rack up achievements, you’ll get new costumes. Customize your virtual sports star, and make everyone else jealous—unless they don’t care, but hey, your character looks cool, and that’s what counts, right?
Oh, and mark your calendars! The digital version hits the Nintendo eShop on the 28th of August, 2025. If you’re the “I need to hold my games” type, the physical copies will show up in North America a bit later on September 25, 2025.
So yeah, lots to look forward to. Get your gear ready, or in this case, your thumbs. Game on!
