Alright, so I stumbled across this game thing — you know, Stranger Than Heaven? It’s kinda Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s new brainchild. Honestly, I saw the trailer at Summer Game Fest, and my head almost did a spin. Remember that vibe from L.A. Noire? Yeah, kinda like that but with a wild twist!
There’s this detective, Mako Daito — moody guy, honestly, like he’s straight out of a black-and-white film. He’s lost in a city that’s just dripping with neon and all sorts of chaos. I’m talking nightclubs, street brawls, and, why not, seedy places you wouldn’t walk into on a good day. Mako seems like he’s having a time — he’s got some survival stuff going on too. Cigarettes that make people super mad? Why did that stick with me? No clue. Oh, and he’s got these meters for hunger and thirst. First for the studio, right?
And, as if things couldn’t get wilder, our gloomy detective runs into this American dude, who’s all shocked Mako’s Japanese (because, plot twist?). Mako then drops this existential bomb about losing himself. Classic melodrama!
So, what’s this Project Century all about? I mean, the name alone screams, “This saga’s gonna drag out over forever!” Jumping thirty years forward sounds ambitious. Or maybe they’re just messing with us? Who knows. They’ve been all hush-hush about it, probably giggling at all our theories. I wouldn’t even start trying to untangle it.
2026 launch, they say. Mark it or forget it? Your call.
