So, Marvel Rivals, huh? Just dropped a bombshell about new skins for Ultron and Groot. How cool is that? Comes out May 30, in case you’re wondering. I’ve always thought Groot in silver would look kinda majestic. Or maybe it’s just me. Anyway, this is all part of the mid-season shake-up for their second season. Lots happening there.
Doctor Strange went zombie, like the MCU movie, right? Can’t say it’s everyone’s cup of tea. And there’s Punisher in some Japanese samurai getup, and Namor going retro with the old-school X-Men vibe. That’s nostalgia right there. But now, we’re all eyes on Ultron and Groot. Who knew they’d get a fashion upgrade?
Oh, there was this tweet—yeah, a Twitter post. Anyway, Groot’s skin’s called Yggroot. Makes him look like some silver rockstar. Reminds me of that giant in Mech Strike: Monster Hunters #5. Don’t ask me why I remember that. Ultron’s going all Iron Man-chic with this X-Tron look. Red capes and shiny reactors are apparently all the rage now. Yet, we’ve got no clue on the pricing. Typical, right?
And, oh, they’re launching some Arakko map and something about Auto Chess—whatever that is. But I’m sure someone will find it fun. Oddly enough, no word on extras like stickers or whatever. Pretty sure they’ll pop up when you least expect it.
Fans might get more than they bargained for. May 30 is turning out to be a busy day for Marvel Rivals. Watch this space, I guess?
