Alright, here we go. So, get this: Dysmantle, you know, that survival game where you just break everything? Yeah, it somehow sold over two million copies. Kind of nuts, right? I read somewhere it started out in Early Access, wandering around for a good year before fully launching in November 2021. Time flies or maybe not. Anyway, it’s everywhere now — PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and even on your phone. No idea how they managed that.
But what’s wild is, they’re celebrating by launching a physical edition for PS5 and Switch. Like, who still buys physical games? Guess some people do. Sampo Töyssy – trying not to butcher that name – the guy in charge over there, had a whole heartfelt message to the fans. Said they’re grateful, but there’s a twist. They wanted this cool physical version in the US too, but apparently, the universe said, “Not today, folks!” So, everyone else gets it, and US fans are kinda left hanging. Fun times, right?
Honestly, though, two million copies is no joke. Kudos to them, even if I’ll never understand how they sold so many. Maybe it’s fantastic? Maybe I’m just cynically detached. Who knows.
