Alright, buckle up. So, Resolution Games just dropped the curtain on something wild—it’s their mash-up of Demeo and Dungeons & Dragons. Yep, you heard that right. I mean, the idea popped up way back in January, and now here we are, finally getting a peek at it in action. Also, I somehow ended up watching that clip while munching on a stale bagel. No idea why I remember that detail.
Picture this: four players diving into these monster-laden dungeons. It’s all in VR, so imagine the chaos—or just keep it to the standard screen if that’s your vibe. I actually spaced out for a second thinking about how cool VR looks, then wondered why I was swatting at the dust motes floating through the sunlight. It’s that kind of day.
Anyway—or wait, maybe I’m getting ahead of myself—the gameplay is super similar to the good old Demeo we know. It’s all turn-based fights, dice rolling, and moving around on grid-like maps. The dice are still, well, dice—I mean, they have sides with swords and skulls. You know, the usual. Why does one side have double swords? Maybe a nod to overachievers? But yeah, each character class has its little arsenal of special cards—attack, defense, healing, you name it.
And they’re even launching this thing so you can play on pretty much anything with a screen by late 2025. Heard they’ve got Matt Sernett crafting the story too. He’s done a ton with D&D, so it should feel like you’re right there in the lore. Baldur’s Gate flashbacks, anyone?
In the meantime, if you’re as impatient as me, you can slap that wishlist button. It’s on all the big platforms, so no one feels left out. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to find another snack because that bagel’s haunting me.
