Oh boy, Meta’s at it again. So, they rolled out these Oakley Meta HSTN glasses, yeah? But the buzz now is this new gizmo that got leaked—or sneaked? Not sure. Thanks, Luna. Anyway, it’s apparently their next big thing: smart glasses with a display and, wait for it, a wrist controller. Picture that.
Mark Gurman—you might know him or not—spilled the beans back in January. Two pairs of glasses, he said. One sporty, Oakley style, confirmed last month, if you follow that stuff. The other, named ‘Hypernova’ (fancy, I know), comes with a built-in screen and some gesture magic via an EMG wrist thingy. Sounds legit, right?
Luna, the legend, dropped some visuals and clips on X. “Look, look, here’s the Hypernova with its wristband, codenamed ‘Ceres’,” Luna basically screamed through the data dump. Meta Celeste might be the final name. Could be, could not be. Names are weird like that.
Now, what’s odd—like really—is this thing uses EMG. You know, electromyography… like reading your muscle impulses to make the thing tick. So sci-fi. Ever think touch or voice controls were clunky? Meta thinks so, I guess.
And Luna’s treasure trove? Includes vids and texts from the tutorial, which had this line that kinda sounded… magical? “Time for some magic!” it says. I laughed. Maybe you can buzz through a gesture and feel it on your wrist. Tap, pinch, boom. Tech wizardry.
Feels like I’m trying to describe a high-tech conjuring act or something. All familiar, yet not.
Oh, and if games are your jam, there’s talk of ‘Hypertrail’. Some mini-game, maybe like Galaga? Classic vibes mixed with your real world. Who thought of this? No clue.
More stuff from Luna? Of course! They’re on a roll. Gonna stay tuned for more chaos—and update this rambling, confused narrative when new tidbits spill out. Cheers!
