If you can’t get enough—like, seriously can’t stop playing—Oblivion’s best faction questline, the Dark Brotherhood, this fun new mod’s your jam. Oblivion Remastered’s out there just letting you go wild. There’s this one developer, totally cool, who whipped up a whole new contract system. Yep, 100 fresh targets to bump off if you’re about that Black Hand life. I mean, who am I kidding? Of course, you are.
And if you’re not into this whole “being the prey” thing, running away from enemies, well, here’s your shot to flip the script. It’s a chance to be the predator, the big bad wolf in the world of Cyrodiil. Other mods? Pffft, they’re like the appetizers—this one’s the main course.
So, ColdTyrant (don’t you just love these names?), the mastermind behind ‘Dark Brotherhood – Infinitum’, is giving us this killer experience. They’ve done other wild stuff too—letting players join the Mythic Dawn or go all necromancer on everyone’s behind. Now, they’re back on the evil bandwagon, and honestly, I’m here for it.
Anyway, about those contracts. Yeah, there’s a whole batch of ‘em. You get a hundred hits that just keep coming back like a bad penny. New NPCs with these oddly charming names like ‘Diligent Father’—seriously, who comes up with this stuff? So, you won’t end up running out of folks to, uh, send to the afterlife.
Cheydinhal Sanctuary’s where the magic (or mayhem) happens. Old-time Morrowind icon Creeper the scamp (that’s a throwback!) is handling the contracts and rewards. More gold than you can shake a stick at—500 coins a pop—and did I mention the gacha Roulette? Oh yeah, it’s a thing. For two Dark Tokens, you can spin for gear. Reckon you might score a cool weapon or something nifty.
It’s the kind of feature that’d make both my gamer pals and the gacha enthusiasts jump in. All in the name of fun, right? But hey, you’ll need some stuff first: Oblivion Remastered’s UE4SS and whatever else. All part of the fun package.
Happy hunting out there, and if you’re curious, check out our ongoing coverage of them mods. Including the one that got the first world tweak a day post-release. Yep, someone was on their game!
