Alright, so check this out. Apparently, there’s this new thing happening with Pneuma Games Group. They’re kicking off another studio, all shiny and new, over in Tileyard North, Wakefield. And they’re calling this brainchild Cast Iron Games. Sounds like a tough name, right? Like something you can’t break? Anyway, moving on.
They’ve got some seasoned folks running the show: Arden Aspinall and Jon Seymour. These guys have worked everywhere, or at least it feels like it — TickTock (that’s not TikTok, by the way, which confused me for a hot second), Rebellion, Double Eleven — you name it. Cast Iron is doing triple-A co-development and porting games. Not totally sure what that means, but it sounds fancy.
Oh, and get this, Cast Iron is basically family to Double Eleven. Like, sister companies or something. Or cousins? Maybe it doesn’t matter. Aspinall, who’s piloting this ship as CEO, gushed about wanting the company to live up to its solid-sounding name. “Reliability and quality for clients,” he says. Kinda makes you want to believe in it, doesn’t it? He’s all about mirroring the successful vibes of Double Eleven, which apparently has some rock-solid principles. They’ve got this whole partnership thing going on that sounds like it’s all about lasting connections and all that good stuff.
Then Seymour, who’s the COO, jumps in — talking about how they’re building a space that’s seriously awesome for their team. It’s like an energy boost! Everyone’s on the same page, ready to work magic and make clients’ big dreams happen. Sounds like a pretty sweet gig, if you ask me.
Honestly, I got sidetracked halfway through, thinking about a cast iron skillet I had once. Ever try frying an egg on one of those? Anyway, back to the point — Cast Iron is on a mission, and it’s all about aligning paths and bringing creative visions to life, or something like that.
