Alright, so here’s the thing—Monster Hunter Wilds is back in the spotlight again. And I mean, who’s surprised, right? It’s not like this game hasn’t already been making waves since it dropped earlier this year. Anyway—no, wait—let’s start over. Two new events are popping into the scene for a bit, with some pretty sweet gear if you take the bait.
Wilds really stepped up, didn’t it? Feels like it just dropped, but they’ve really nailed it down, especially after Monster Hunter: World. I remember getting my hands on it and thinking, “Hey, I might not be a total noob with this auto-targeting thing.” Revolutionary, I tell you.
Since launch, we’ve seen two free Title Updates. Layered Weapons, anyone? Oh, and the outfits. Just last week—well, I think it was last week—anyway, they rolled out some killer new game modes. Keeps things fresh, right? Capcom’s got us on this rotating event thing, three or four a week, like clockwork. Blink and you’ll miss ‘em. Keeps folks like me hooked, chasing after those shiny prizes.
So, I was scrolling through Twitter and guess what? Monster Hunter dropped the news. Two events running from July 8 to July 22. One’s this 6-star Event Quest called “An Inferno Laid Bare.” Sounds intense, doesn’t it? I mean, you gotta hunt down this Nu Udra at HR 31 in the Oilwell Basin. Say what now? But then you can craft cool stuff like the Pinion Necklace α. Imagine being shirtless in that Hunter armor—okay, maybe don’t.
And don’t get me started on this other one: “Fleeting Bubbles.” A 5-star Challenge Quest where you chase Mizutsune. At HR 21. The prizes are like, dependent on how fast you can beat it. Speed demons are gonna love this. Exclusive pendants await the speedy.
Oh geez, did I mention Challenge Quests are all about timing? Get in there with standard gear, no Palicos to back you up. Also, meal effects? Forget them. Talk about tough love. And the prizes? Gotta wait a week or two after it wraps. Patience is a virtue, or whatever.
The weekly events? They’re the glue. Capcom’s sly like that, constantly tossing crumbs to see who’s still hungry. And we are, for a while at least. RNG magic keeps it ticking, but hey, maybe we need more than just the occasional crumb. Maybe something jumbo, like those fries you shouldn’t order but do anyway.
So there we are, or rather, here we are—waiting for the next quest, the next thrill. What’s next, Monster Hunter? I guess we’ll just wait and see.
