Alright, so I was playing this new game on, uh, the Switch 2? Pretty sure that’s it. Anyway, the main gig is, you’re supposed to figure out what’s deep down in the planet’s belly. Sounds simple, right? But let me just throw this out there: banana. Yep, you heard me. Banana! Or maybe it’s more like, “Oh, banana!” if you get my drift.
So, this game, Donkey Kong Bananza, right? It’s got this thing where you can mess up the terrain, and yeah, it feels good moving around—it really does. Plus, the whole “bananza” transformations are wild, with different powers and stuff. But—oh man—what really caught me was Donkey Kong himself. He’s not this sneaky dude from the old Donkey Kong Country games anymore. Nah, now he’s like this happy-go-lucky guy, just all about bananas and his buddy Pauline.
Pauline, by the way—when she doubts herself and then looks at Donkey Kong’s big ol’ face, something just clicks. There’s this pure vibe going on. I’m talking the kind of friend who’s super simple in their love and faith, and it hits me how crucial that is. You know, the kind of person that makes you feel better just by being around. Donkey’s definitely on my list of top game characters now. Honestly, could be his best adventure yet.
