Man, okay, so get this—The Pokémon Company International is up to something again. They just dropped a bomb saying there’s this new thing called the Wisdom of Sea and Sky expansion coming to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. And it’s, like, happening next week.
So, mark it—Wednesday, July 30, 2025. You’ll bump into Pokémon that popped up in Johto. You remember, right? Pokémon Gold and Silver times? Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile—they’re back. Oh, and those epic Legendaries, Lugia and Ho-Oh, are gonna be around too.
But wait, here’s the twist—this expansion has Pokémon with attacks that don’t even need Energy. Yeah, wild, right? So, players are gonna need to rethink their decks. No clue how that’ll shake things up, but my mind’s kinda racing with the possibilities.
And get this—updates are dropping for the Trade feature too. Okay, so:
First off, they’re bringing in this Wishlist thing. When trading, you can basically show off the cards you’re dying to get. You just hit up the My Cards screen, toss in up to 20 cards, and highlight three. Sharing’s caring, or something like that.
Then they’re tossing trade tokens out the window—poof, gone! But hold up—they’re mixing in some shiny stuff called shinedust. You’ll need it if you’re aiming for the super rare cards—those glitzy ones. Apparently, you can bag shinedust by doing missions or snagging repeat cards. Sounds a bit like magic dust, if you ask me.
If you’ve got trade tokens sitting around, swap ’em for pack hourglasses or more shinedust in the shop. Just a heads up, trading cards for trade tokens is gonna be off-limits come Wednesday, July 30, 01:00 UTC, after some in-game jazz goes down.
Oh yeah, if you didn’t know, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket’s chilling on the App Store and Google Play, waiting for you to give it a whirl.
And there’s something about a trailer, but I got distracted and blanked on the details. Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for all the new stuff dropping soon!
