Well, guess what? The Kickstarter for this game, Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist or whatever—just wrapped up. They grabbed over $170,000—yeah, that’s a lot—from people who apparently really want to dive into this VR MMORPG. It’s made by Resolute Games. Never heard of them? Same. Anyway, the campaign started on June 24th, and shockingly, they hit their $25,000 target in like an hour and a half. Crazy, right?
So, get this, within a week, they zoom right past $100,000. I mean, did the folks throwing cash at it know something I didn’t? They unlocked all these “stretch goals”—like a bonfire healing system and pet abilities. Not entirely sure what those are, but hey, cool, I guess.
They’re aiming big with Eldramoor, talking up this huge world packed with different zones and biomes—which sounds a bit like reading a travel brochure but in a game… with dungeons and crafting. Oh! They’ve got player housing too. So, if you’ve ever dreamed of virtual real estate, here’s your shot.
Resolute Games paints this vibey picture of the game: Five zones, each wildly different, filled with loot and challenges. They’re pushing this whole exploration thing—wander off the path and get rewarded. Maybe get lost, who knows?
Core game vibes? It’s social to the max. Guilds, PvP, special events—you know, stuff you do with friends while ignoring real life. Apparently, there’s a thing called multiplayer profession “trains” (no idea what that means), a bonfire system, and some trading quirks.
Dream big or go home, right? Resolute Games is banking on more funds from somewhere else too. That Kickstarter cash alone won’t cut it. They’re eyeing that “massive” part of VRMMOs, and the launch isn’t until December 2026. Patience is a virtue, and I should be patient, but meh.
If you’re curious, check Eldramoor out on Steam, if you really want the deets, or poke around the Kickstarter archives since it’s done and dusted now. So, that’s where we’re at.
